Food Friday... Pancakes!

How cool is this- a pancake bar at a wedding?? Um, yummy! But more than the pancakes, I am in love with the display. Why can't my weekend breakfasts look this great? I know how important presentation is, but I'm always lacking when it comes time to plate my food. I love the chalkboard frames , the pillars, the floral arrangement... I just love everything don't you?

If you need some recipe inspiration, here are a few

Maple, Walnut, and Flaxseed pancakes with strawberries

No recipe for these, but don't they look yummy!

Summer Whites

If money were no object I would purchase every single one of these outfits. What is it about white in the summer? Does it get any better?? Along with a statement piece of jewelry, or scarf, cool leather sandals or handbag, and of course a no fuss beachy hairdo- white is an absolute must! Now most of the time I am happy with my Target purchases, but every now and then I would love to splurge!

Vintage Silverware

I adore vintage silverware. I don't actually own any, but I want to! I'm always on the look out for a good deal when I'm at the junk store, but have yet to score. I just received the new Napa Style catalog (which I never purchase from because it's way too expensive). I guess Michael has started to carry a line of "Vintage Silverware by the Pound".

Here's the lowdown on the silverware:These authentic vintage utensils date back to the ’ 20s and ’30s—all fine-quality, silver-plated, and newly polished to perfection. They’re gathered from estate sales, vintage markets and antique stores all over the US and Europe. And so what if the pieces don’t match? That’s half the fun! It’s a true celebration of life—the second time around—and a most meaningful form of sustainability. Hand wash for better preservation. Patterns and dimensions will vary.

What do you think, are you in to vintage silverware? Would you use it, or just display?
