Feather Your Nest

I love velvet blue in my winter decor. As a matter of fact I just pulled out my velvet pillows for the year. I've never really been a feather girl, but when I came across the blue velvet with feather pillow I thought it was a great idea. I think I could duplicate this look on my pillows... just another project to add to my list. Do you use feathers in your decor? Here are a few ideas to get your imagination stirring. Happy Thursday!

Summer Dining

Well it looks like we are going to have one more weekend of winter weather before our spring/summer temps stay around. I can't wait to dine outdoors like this image below. I guess on a positive note I still need to redo my table top that got ruined through the winter months, redo my seat cushions (that I just recovered last spring) and hang outdoor lights. It's important to look on the positive side of things right? Is your outdoor space ready for summer entertaining?

My Summer Dream!

Happy Monday friends! I promised I would get back into blogging, so here I am really putting in the effort! I don't have a "Make It Monday" project to share with you, but I still think you'll be pleased with what I am sharing. I was lucky enough to receive the latest issue of Country Living magazine this weekend and I have to say it didn't disappoint. With summer fast approaching I dream of my some day cabin where the family can escape for pure relaxation. When I came across these images they just made me smile. This "Rustic Revival" family retreat in Ohio is just what I envision. I think I best post these pics on my vision board! Hope you enjoy this getaway as much as me! If you don't already have this issue of Country Living, do yourself a favor and pick it up.

Man I wish I could grow hydrangeas...

I just love those cots, with the numbered pillows

Can't you just picture yourself sitting around that campfire, roasting mallows, and telling stories.
